Bio

Dr. Gordon’s research and consulting interests focus on how IT can be used to improve the process of innovation and on the use of social media in business. His research appears in academic and practitioner journals. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research.

Dr. Gordon is a co-author of the textbooks Information Systems: A Management Approach (Wiley, 3rd edition) and Essentials of Accounting Information Systems (U. of Phoenix). He is the editor of Computing Information Technology: The Human Side (IRM Press) and Information Technology and E-Business in the Financial Services (Ivy League Publishing, 2004).

Dr. Gordon is a member of the Technology Information and Operations Management Division at Babson College. Before arriving at Babson, Dr. Gordon founded and served as president of Beta Principles, Inc., a developer and marketer of accounting software and reseller of computer hardware. He has also consulted to the airline industry at Simat, Helliesen & Eichner, Inc (now SH&E). He holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
